Ten years ago was the last time I performed my songs live in front of an audience after having played live for almost 20 years (I started having concerts at the tender age of 16).
And this year I want to try to re-integrate playing live music into my life again.
I want to find out if performing music live via Zoom is something enjoyable for both me and my audience (technically this is now possible and it sounds really nice).
But before I do my first live performance, I will play with different scenarios e.g. percussion, piano, guitar etc. And I will put different recordings of my songs here on my Blog and surely create some new songs along the way, too.
Since I am doing pretty much everything in my life with the support of Spirit Guides, I am being mentored by one of my Guides on this new project, too. And we are using one of my own songs as a reference point for my future songs.
Here is a video of this song, it is called "ONG NAMO":
What both my Guide and I really like about this song is the use of percussion and acoustic instruments and the strong focus on my voice. For percussion I used a tabla loop, a shaker, my shoes, the floor and my legs in this song.
In this video (see below) I showed some of my friends how I play percussion, and I thought this might be fun for you to watch, too:
At the moment I am recording percussion for all of the songs that I want to play live in this way (meaning: I record them with tabla loops, shaker, shoe percussion).
This is an excerpt of one of the songs:
And I will introduce to you the other instruments that I use for my songs soon, too.
My acoustic guitar is the one I got when I was 14 years old, and I will buy another guitar that was designed for children, too. I always prefered the sound of these kinds of guitars to others.
My basses are both fretless, one is an Ukulele Bass, the other one is a Jazz Bass.
And for the keyboard sounds I will be mainly using a plugin on my computer that makes the keyboards sound like a piano. This piano plugin sounds similar to the piano I had as a child.
It is very exciting for me to re-connect to playing music in this way and to write new songs.
